LinkedIn has published statistics showing a breakdown of its 100million members. It’s better presented as an infographic which you can see by clicking the link at the end of this article, but here is a selection of their statistics in less interesting text form.
● 44million members are in the US with the remaining 56million elsewhere in the world. The fastest growing countries are Brazil, Mexico, India and France.
● There are 997000 jobs for teachers, 1030 for chocolatiers, 74 for Elvis tribute artists and one for a Martini whisperer.
● 59% of members are male and 41% female. The largest age groups, both with 36% of members each, are the 25 to 34 years old and 35 to 54 years old.
● Hi-tech followed by Finance are the highest represented industry groups.
