I don’t think many of us small business owners try hard enough with local newspapers and radio, wrongly believing that not many people read local newspapers or listen to local radio.
You’d be wrong on all counts. If you can’t get a story in a local newspaper, try writing a topical letter to the Editor. Your local radio station may not interview you but they might take your call on a phone-in programme. And as for no one reading or listening, check their readership and audience figures – they can be quite surprising.
