It’s standard advice in commercial businesses – give something worthwhile away free to try and promote future sales. It would be similar if you were selling to charities, but there is also another dimension as many companies and individuals donate resources for no other reason than to make a difference.
What surprises me, however, is the number of donors waiting to donate services to charities. The goodwillgallery.com website publishes a range of free services on offer to charities which I have grouped under general headings in the table below.
It is interesting to note that there is now competition even when you want to do something for nothing.
